Gregory Cohn, MD

Gregory S. Cohn, M.D., former Medical Director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program and head of the Preventative Cardiology section at the Cleveland Clinic Florida, recently opened a concierge primary care practice specializing in cardiovascular disease prevention in Boca Raton. He has been a board-certified Internist practicing medicine in Florida since 1991, and affiliated with Boca Raton Community Hospital since 2004. Prior to this, he spent 11 years at Cleveland Clinic Florida where he was also a member of the Internal Medicine Department.

Dr. Cohn received his undergraduate degree in History from Emory University and attended Thomas Jefferson University for both his medical education and residency in Internal Medicine. His interest in cholesterol disorders led him to further study in lipid management and cardiovascular disease prevention at Thomas Jefferson and Johns Hopkins Universities, where he completed preceptorships in 1999. In May 2003, the American Society of Hypertension certified Dr. Cohn as a Specialist in Clinical Hypertension. Most recently in November 2005, he was part of the initial class of 150 physicians from across the country to achieve board certification in Clinical Lipidology. He is a recognized speaker on the topic and has had several articles published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Cohn is a member of the Southeast Lipid Association, the National Lipid Association, the Vascular Biology Working Group, the American Society of Hypertension, and the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Cohn grew up in the Philadelphia area, and has been living in South Florida since the completion of his medical training in 1991. He currently resides in Parkland with his wife and 3 children. His personal interests include sports, American History (especially the Civil War), and traveling.
